"Copper is naturally antimicrobial and completely safe for daily use. Your body needs copper — around 0.9 mg per day. A deficiency causes fatigue, joint pain, and a weakened immune system. This is why hospitals install copper surfaces: this metal naturally destroys bacteria and viruses without any chemicals."

Directions for use

To fully enjoy the benefits of your Cherimola™ bottle, use it only with water. We advise against acidic drinks such as fizzy drinks, fruit juices, coffee, or carbonated beverages. Ideally, let the water sit for a few hours before drinking.

Is the bottle really made of copper?

Yes. Cherimola™ bottles are made with food-grade copper on both the inside and outside. The interior may have a different shade to the exterior, as the treatment applied for direct water contact meets stricter European food-grade requirements. The traditional properties of copper are preserved thanks to the copper treatment in contact with the water inside the bottle. However, this bottle model is not made of solid copper.

Delivery & warranty

Your order is dispatched within 48 hours. Delivery is free and usually takes between 5 to 10 working days. Our bottles come with a lifetime warranty thanks to their premium quality and durable design.

How long should you leave water in the bottle?

To fully benefit from the properties of copper, it is recommended to let the water rest in the bottle for at least 6 to 8 hours, ideally overnight.

Are your bottles certified and food-safe?

Yes. Cherimola™ bottles have been tested by an independent specialist laboratory to check compliance with food-contact material regulations. The tests carried out include food migration tests, heavy metal controls, material compliance tests, and component safety checks. The results comply with the tested European standards, with no abnormal migration detected under the laboratory's analysis conditions.

Bought for my sister's birthday, she is absolutely thrilled! The packaging is lovely and the bottle is even more beautiful in person. I've ordered a second one for myself.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is it safe to drink from a copper water bottle every day?

Yes, absolutely. Drinking from a copper bottle is a practice that has been recommended for millennia by Ayurvedic medicine. The amount of copper infused into the water is infinitesimal and beneficial to the body. We recommend drinking 2 to 3 glasses a day from your Cherimola™ bottle, ideally starting with a glass on an empty stomach in the morning.

Why does the water taste slightly different?

This is completely normal and actually a great sign! Copper naturally interacts with water to give it its purifying properties. This subtle mineral taste usually fades after a few days of use, once the bottle is broken in. You can also rinse the bottle with lemon water to soften the taste at the beginning.

How is the Cherimola bottle made?

Our bottles are crafted in Asia by workshops specialising in coppersmithing, using techniques inspired by Indian traditions passed down through generations. Copper has been used there for centuries to naturally preserve water in Ayurvedic practices. Each bottle is designed with a reinforced stainless steel core, renowned for its strength, durability, and food safety stability.

This structural base is then combined with a food-grade copper plating applied to both the inside and outside of the bottle. The internal treatment, which is in direct contact with the water, complies with stricter European food safety regulations. This is why the interior shade may vary slightly from the exterior depending on the model and the treatments used. This design results in a sturdier, longer-lasting bottle suited for daily use, while preserving the properties traditionally associated with copper thanks to its food-grade copper lining. Every Cherimola™ bottle undergoes strict quality controls and compliance testing for food contact.

Copper and its shades: what you need to know.

Copper comes in various shades depending on how it is treated — all of which are authentic. What you see on the inside is genuine copper, in its safest form for your health. The exterior of our bottles boasts the beautiful, characteristic reddish-brown hue of copper. The interior, however, may display a more golden or yellowish tint — this is completely normal.

This difference is due to the manufacturing process: the interior is subject to stricter food safety standards than the exterior, requiring a slightly different treatment. The result is a real copper inner surface, tested and certified for water contact, which is simply a naturally lighter shade.

How do I clean the bottle?

Cleaning is straightforward and natural. Once a week, fill the bottle with a mixture of water and lemon juice (or a tablespoon of sea salt), let it sit for 5 to 10 minutes, then rinse thoroughly with clean water. Never put the bottle in the dishwasher and avoid chemicals or abrasive sponges. It is normal for copper to tarnish or oxidise slightly — this does not affect its properties.

Can I store lemon water or other drinks in it?

We recommend using the bottle strictly for still water. Acidic drinks (lemon juice, fruit juices, fizzy drinks, hot beverages) can accelerate copper oxidation and alter the taste. To get the best Ayurvedic benefits, let filtered or tap water rest for at least 6 to 8 hours — ideally overnight.

How long does water stay cold in the bottle?

The Cherimola™ bottle is made of single-wall, non-insulated pure copper — so it is not designed to maintain temperature like a thermos flask. The water remains at room temperature. The purpose of Cherimola is to provide you with water that is purified and enriched with minerals through copper, rather than keeping it chilled. For best results, prepare your water the night before and drink it within 24 hours.

What is the delivery time?

We dispatch your order within 48 working hours. Delivery then takes 5 to 10 working days. You will receive an email with your tracking number as soon as it is shipped. Delivery is free on all orders, with no minimum spend.

Does the bottle leak or is it waterproof?

The Cherimola™ bottle features a leakproof lid that ensures a secure, watertight seal. It is designed to be carried safely in a bag or rucksack without any risk of leaks. We recommend always securing the lid properly and avoiding leaving the bottle tilted for prolonged periods when full.

What should I do if I receive a faulty bottle or change my mind?

Your satisfaction is our top priority. If you change your mind, you have 14 days from receiving your order to return it to us for a full refund. In the rare event that your bottle arrives with a manufacturing defect, please contact us immediately at contact@cherimola.com with a photo of the issue. We will send you a replacement bottle free of charge as quickly as possible.
